Should I Major in Theology?

Theology is a fascinating and rewarding major, and it can stand by its own. However, theology is also a discipline that works well when combined with other disciplines. The department would encourage students interested in theology to seriously consider including theology in a double major or minoring in theology. This is not to say that no one should only major in theology, but it is a decision which should be made carefully.

The theology department welcomes undergraduate students and wants to see that it best serves the interests of all of its students. If you are interested in making theology your one major, we encourage you to contact your undergraduate chair: either the Lincoln Center undergraduate chair or the Rose Hill undergraduate chair. Both these people are interested, not in "making" you choose one way or the other, but in helping you find which option is best for you.
