On October 16th, a group of students joined Dr. Colin Cathcart on a trip to the Solar Decathalon in Washington, D.C. Students viewed small self-sufficient solar homes constructed by architecture and engineering students from professional graduate schools such as Virginia Tech, Cornell, Darmstadt, Madrid, Waterloo, Arizona, and Puerto Rico.
