She holds a B.A. in English and American Literature and Modern History from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Her book manuscript, entitled Neither Here Nor There: Identity, Integration, and Berlin’s Immigrant Neighborhoods, explores the process in which 2nd generation Turkish immigrant women in Berlin, Germany find a home in their urban immigrant neighborhood.
