Featured Alumni and Faculty

The phenomenal success of Fordham’s students in the sciences is a result of the quality of our faculty. We credit much of this success to the star faculty at Rose Hill, Lincoln Center, and the Calder Center. They are highly successful research scientists who love to teach and actively collaborate with students in their work. Their commitment to teaching and research is transforming the lives of our students.

Our students have the opportunity to work with world-class professors such as Stephen Holler who is collaborating with NYU and CUNY researchers on a National Science Foundation grant to identify the smallest particles of virus, or Christiana Peppard, on how we get fresh water. Another example is Christine Zolnick, who is working with Thomas Daniels and Richard Falco at the Calder Biological Field Station in Armonk. Zolnick presented a portion of her research involving the genetic differentiation and disease among ticks at the Fourth Biennial Conference of the International Association for Ecology and Health, Kunming City, China, and the Third International Conference of Urban Biodiversity and Design, Mumbai, India.
