Mentor Program

The mentoring system pairs incoming freshmen with upperclassmen counterparts. Students are matched based on major, high school, hometown, and extra-curricular interests. It provides a means by which the new first year students can get some important “inside advice” about their majors and professors in the department. It also allows Honors students from different years to get to know each other. A reception is held in September in which mentors and mentees meet and establish an ongoing relationship.
