For each of Fordham's arts programs, there are special admission requirements in addition to the requirements for Freshman or Transfer admission.
Students applying to the Ailey/Fordham BFA program must apply by the November 1st Priority Decision deadline (Please note this is not Early Action).
After selecting Priority Performance Decision (November 1st) on the Common Application Supplement, please select Regular Decision in the Decision type on the Common Application itself.
In addition to the Fordham application for admission, students must complete a supplemental application to the Ailey program postmarked by November 1st. Ailey applications should be mailed to The Ailey School, 405 W. 55th St., New York, NY, 10019, Attention: BFA Admission.
Selected candidates will be invited to audition after submitting the dance application to The Ailey School.

Students applying to the Theatre Major must apply by the November 1st Priority Decision deadline (Please note this is not Early Action).
Each of the programs within the Theatre Major (Performance, Design & Production, Playwriting, and Directing) requires a creative review as a part of the consideration for admission. Registration for auditions and interviews will open in early September and an audition/interview must be scheduled no later than December 15th. Auditions will be held in January and February.

Students applying to the Visual Arts Major may apply Early Action or Regular Decision. In addition to the regular admission requirements, students should also submit a portfolio along with their application.
Please send a maximum of 10 samples of your work or a maximum of three short videos. We accept high quality photo-copies, slides, CD, or DVD. Make sure to label all images with your name, title, year, size and medium. Label all supporting material with your name and discipline. Include a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) for the return of your work. The portfolio should be submitted with the Admission application to the Office of Admission.
