The Marymount Alumnae Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce that, as a direct result of your contributions, we have awarded our first scholarship to Shannon Sweeney, a Fordham College at Lincoln Center senior who spent the last three years studying at Marymount.

This exciting announcement comes one full year ahead of schedule thanks to your generous donations! The Marymount Legacy Fund not only allows the Marymount name to live on, it preserves the tradition of excellence that the R.S.H.M. set forth 100 years ago, when they opened Marymount's doors and began preparing young women for leadership roles.

While our history has changed dramatically in the past few years, our ability and determination to carry on the Marymount tradition and legacy has not. The board would like to thank each and every contributor to the Marymount Legacy Fund.With your continued support, we look forward to making scholarship announcements for years to come.

 As we carve out our new role as an alumnae association, we encourage you to stay connected to the Marymount community.

• Help us find “lost” alumnae.

• Volunteer to be a class agent.

• Attend alumnae events and reunions.

• Reach out to and mentor younger alumnae in your chosen field.

• Support the annual campaign for the Marymount Legacy Fund and include the fund in your will or estate planning.

As always, we appreciate your support and dedication to Marymount College and the R.S.H.M., who founded our alma mater. It is through each other that we will keep the Marymount spirit alive.
