“Although it was founded just four years ago, the President’s Council has
already had a remarkable impact on the life and mission of the University.
Through its support of the Founder’s Dinner, it has enabled the University
to build endowments to support our Presidential Scholarships Program; through
its Executive-in-Residence Program, it has enabled our students to interact
with and learn from some of our most accomplished alumni; and through its
networking events, it has enabled our students to meet and learn from wise
and loving mentors. On the basis of its proven record of achievement, I
am confident that in the coming years the Council will raise the University’s
profile in the wider world and boost our alumni’s pride in their Alma Mater,
and thus enable us to realize the ambitious dreams that we have for Fordham.”

“I see the President’s Council
as a distinct opportunity for highly committed alumni leaders to invest
themselves in growing Fordham's stellar reputation through the dedication
of valuable time and resources. As chairperson, I’m honored to help build
on the Council’s past successes and work to create something that generates
great pride in our members. Fordham has given so much to so many — it’s
our moment to ensure that the next Fordham generation may prosper and live
the American Dream.”
The 2009 Fordham Founder’s Award Dinner
The evening of Monday, 30 March 2009 marked the eighth annual Fordham Founder's Award Dinner, a celebration of our University, our honorees and of the students who benefit from your generosity. The dinner, held at the Waldorf=Astoria, raised $2 million for the Fordham Founder's Presidential Scholarship Fund. The 900 guests were also treated to the exciting public announcement of Excelsior | Ever Upward | The Campaign for Fordham, as $266 million has been raised toward the $500 million goal. The campaign priorities include: Academic Excellence, Facilities and Improvements, and Annual Support. |
