Registration for Scholarship Recipients

All College Board® APSI scholarship recipients must register as scholarship recipients to be eligible to use scholarship funds. This is a payment option when participants register on CVENT.

Paperwork Process

The teacher taking the institute course(s) needs to confirm with the College Board® that they accept the scholarship and submit a completed W-9 form to the College Board® for taxes as they specified. College Board® will then issue a confirmation awardee email to the recipient. Otherwise, the scholarship is not awarded. Recipients should forward the email confirmation from the College Board® APSI Director Matthew A. Sawh, [email protected], for processing within Fordham.

    How to Cancel

To cancel, please send an email to [email protected]. Cancelling requires withdrawing from the course through the University. Thus, it is a process that takes time to complete. This means that all documentation to withdraw must have been submitted to the relevant University department with sufficient lead time as outlined above.

Please note that cancellations are accepted only by e-mail for documentation purposes, although an AP® team member is happy to assist over the phone with any questions.

If a cancellation request is received past the aforementioned deadlines, the registrant may be held responsible for a portion of the cost of the institute (if not the full tuition) and will need to remit payment to Fordham University. If you don't attend the Institute AND don't withdraw, you're NOT entitled to any refund.

  • Our policy is based on cancellation date:

Cancellation and withdrawal prior to Institute start date - Refund = 100% of payment

Cancellation and withdrawal by first day of Institute - Refund = 40% of payment

Cancellation and withdrawal thereafter - Refund = 0% of payment

2023 Refund Policies:  Please note that participants MUST withdraw from courses prior to their start date. For example, a course beginning Monday at 9:00 a.m. cannot be withdrawn on that Monday morning, which is the start of the course. It must be done prior. Functionally, this means at least one or two business days in advance. This requirement to withdraw before the start date of a course is a Fordham University policy. There is a large window for withdrawal and we try very hard to reasonably accommodate changes. Also, teachers should, at the time of registration, review the refund policy information provided on CVENT. Teachers withdrawing at the last minute may need to pay for books and/or other charges as indicated.
