Boyce is a member of the Carmelite Order. In addition to his studies in musicology he studied piano under Charles Reiner at McGill, Thomas Mastroianni at Catholic University and privately with Beveridge Webster of the Juilliard faculty. His particular research interests are the later Medieval Latin liturgy and its manuscripts, particularly of the Carmelite Order and of the diocese of Salamanca, Spain. Selected Publications
