St. Peter's Garden

St. Peter's Garden

At the 62nd Street entrance of Fordham's Lincoln Center campus is St. Peter's Garden. The statue "Peter the Fisherman" is by sculptor Frederick Shrady. It is made of bronze and is 28 feet high. It was commisioned by the University and installed in 1970. Shrady said it represented "the enhanced role of the university casting its lines of influence, knowledge, and concern out over the metropolis."
