Tierney
Hall (1986)
Population: Upperclassmen/Freshmen
As
Rose Hill's only residential college occupied
by both upperclassmen and freshmen, Tierney
provides the warm
environment of a close-knit community with
the opportunity to participate in a great
variety of programming events.
The program's mission is twofold: to build
the community within and expand the opportunities
without.
The
150 residents who live in Tierney enjoy
an atmosphere that emphasizes academic commitment
and social and cultural growth, a mission
enhanced by both the facilities provided
and the expanded residential college programming.
The
building has group study lounge on the first
floor, a larger quiet study lounge on the
second floor and a recreational
lounge including a big-screen television
with DirecTV, DVD and VHS players, a pool
table, and foosball table on the third
floor. Also on the third floor is a fully-equipped
full-size kitchen.
