Copying one course's contents to another

Instructors are able to copy one course's whole contents, parts, and/or class rosters into another course. Instructors must have an Instructor role in the destination course when content is moved or copied to another course. Instructors can choose whether to delete or move an item after it is copied or to also keep it in its original place.

Follow the steps below to open the Copy Course page:

Step 1 Open the Control Panel of the original course and click "course copy" in the course options area.

 

Step 2 Select the second option, "Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course."

Then choose the destination course and click those fields you wish to copy from the list given. The table below details the fields on the Copy Course Materials Page.

Destination Course:
Select the destination Course ID number. (This is the course into which you want to copy your previous courses contents.
   
Select Course Materials:
Click the square corresponding to the areas you want copied to the destination course.
   
Enrollments:
Click the square if you want to copy the students/instructors into the destination course (their grades will not be copied).

Finally click submit at the bottom right of the page to complete the action.
