Uploading a Multi-file HTML document to Course Documents
(Complex powerpoint, HTML files, etc.)
Instructors are able to able to upload a multi-part HTML file with necessary auxiliary files to Blackboard by creating a zip file with all the necessary files combined and then upload that file into the Course Documents area. First follow the procedures given in Add / Modify Course Content Item and at #2, Content Attachments, where it asks for "File to Attach:" (see below), either type in the name of the path/file you have zipped or click the browse button to find the zip file on your computer (here "MYFILE.ZIP"). Then type in a name (here "INDEX.HTML) for the link the student will click to access the file in the second window (Name of Link to File:). Finally at the "Special Action" window click the drop down menu button (see red arrow below) and then select "unpackage this file" (see blue arrow below)
Fill out your choices in #3, the following section, as you would for any content upload and then click "SUBMIT" at the bottom of the page. Finally, you will then be prompted to select an "entrance point." This is the name of the main HTML file (as in this case "index.html") within the zip file. After selecting the entrance point, click SUBMIT again to confirm the upload.
