the
Finance Department |
|
|
The
Fordham community interacts with areas of the Finance department
on a regular basis. This interaction can occur on a daily, weekly
or quarterly basis, depending on the function being completed.
The Finance department consists of the Budget Office, Treasury,
Controller's Office, Procurement, Internal Audit, University Collections
and Human Resources. Each department has internal processes and
policies that directly affect the financial operations of the
University.
Much of the information being processed is shared between departments.
The financial output generated in one area is, in turn, fed to
another area. As a result, it is very important that the information
is processed timely and accurately.
Departments within the University are responsible for processing,
updating and submitting their internal budgetary information.
Specific guidelines must be followed for this information to be
processed correctly. The proper documentation of Financial Policies
and Procedures will help to provide guidelines for the Fordham
community. |
