Thomas E. DeJulio, Esq.

Thomas E. DeJulio, Esq. began his employment at Fordham University in 1972 and served as Grant Accounts Officer and Assistant Director of Research Services.  He became Fordham's first University Budget Director in 1979, and later Assistant Executive Vice President responsible for the development and administration of Fordham's policies and procedures. In 1988, he was appointed Fordham's first General Counsel and reports to the President as the principal agent for the University on all legal matters. Mr. DeJulio received his Bachelors degree summa cum laude in cursu honorum from Fordham College, and his J.D. in 1977 from Fordham Law School, Evening Division. He was admitted to the bar in January 1978 and has served on several committees for the New York State Bar Association and the Association of Jesuit Colleges and University (AJCU). Mr. DeJulio has been an active member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) and a community and global leader in Kiwanis International, for which he served for three years as a member of its Board of Trustees.

Vincenzo S. Lippiello joined the Office of Legal Counsel in March 2008.  As Staff Counsel and Compliance Coordinator, he is responsible for the general oversight and management of a wide array of legal matters, including ensuring that campus programs are operated in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, assisting in drafting new policies and amending existing ones, reviewing contracts, and monitoring litigation.

Prior to joining Fordham, Mr. Lippiello served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Bronx County District Attorney’s office, where he prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases from trial to appeal. 

A lifelong Bronx resident, Mr. Lippiello received his B.A., cum laude in cursu honorum, from Fordham College in 1998, and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2003.  He is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. Lippiello is a member of the National Association of College and Univesity Attorneys (NACUA).

Dr. Georgina Calia Arendacs has been a member of the Fordham University community since 1972 and has been working in the legal department for over 25 years.  She received her Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Sociology from Fordham Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.  As a trained paralegal, she renders litigation assistance and support.

As the Director of Equity and Equal Opportunity, Dr. Arendacs investigates discrimination complaints from employees and students based on sex, race, gender, religion, national origin, and disability, and is designated as the Sexual Harassment Officer, the Title IX Coordinator and the Disabilities Compliance Officer for the University.  She also works with legal counsel to monitor the legal implications of institutional policies, procedures, and diversity objectives.

Claudia Mancia-Parone began working in the Office of Legal Counsel in November 2002.  As Executive Assistant she provides administrative support directly to the General Counsel and to the overall operation of the office.  She is responsible for the organization and management of confidential files and the proper handling of all student and  employee subpoenas.  Ms. Mancia-Parone assists the General Counsel in preparing agreements, charts, and other analyses.
