TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — Marymount College’s Institute for the Education of Women and Girls will host “Our Time—Women, Herstory and Power” on
Wednesday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Marymount College of Fordham University in Tarrytown, N.Y. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
A keynote panel will be held from
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The panel will discuss ways that women can tell their stories, which are so often overlooked or underappreciated. Panelists include Martha Lopez-Hanratty, Westchester County program administrator for Hispanic affairs; and Desta Lakew, director of patient marketing for Open Door Family Medical Centers in Ossining, N.Y. Concurrent workshops will be held from
1:30 to 2:45 p.m. on topics such as body image, women and war, self-defense, and women’s creative “an-sisters.”
