History Professor Appointed Interim Dean
of Fordham College at Rose Hill
Michael E. Latham, Ph.D., has been appointed interim dean of Fordham College at Rose Hill (FCRH) at Fordham University.
Latham, an associate professor of history, joined the Fordham faculty in 1996. He is a noted scholar of American foreign relations and 20th century American political and intellectual history.

Fordham Establishes Liberal Arts
Summer Program in London
Students will have the opportunity to pursue liberal arts courses during two summer sessions in London, thanks to a new location that enables Fordham to expand its study abroad program.
The Liberal Arts Summer Program will debut in June at Heythrop College, the Jesuit specialist Philosophy and Theology College of the University of London. It will be administered through Fordham’s London Centre, an affiliation announced last April between Fordham and Heythrop.

New Press Director to Tackle e-Publishing and the Economy
Fredric Nachbaur is no stranger to university presses. The former marketing and sales director of New York University Press started on Feb. 17 as the director of Fordham University Press. He brings 20 years of managerial, marketing, acquisitions and sales experience to the University’s publishing arm at a time when an economic downturn promises unprecedented challenges. Nachbaur talked about his plans for the press with Inside Fordham.
