Who got it: Celia B. Fisher, Ph.D., director of Fordham’s Center for Ethics Education and Marie Ward Doty Professor of Psychology, A&S

What for: “Ethical Challenges for Research Extenders Responsible for the Integrity of Community Addiction Research” will study the ethics-related beliefs and motivation facilitating and impeding the RE’s contribution to addiction trials


Who gave it: William D. Rockford, FCRH ’67, GSAS ’72, and Beverly Rockford

How much: $300,000

Who got it: Incoming Fordham freshmen from the Bronx

What for: To establish the William D. and Beverly B. Rockford Endowed Scholarship Fund, for graduating seniors of All Hallows High School in the Bronx who wish to attend Fordham


Who gave it: National Science Foundation

How much: $28,825

Who got it: Francine Blumberg, Ph.D., associate professor of education and coordinator of the Educational Psychology Program, GSE

What for: “Academic Lessons from Video Game Learning” will fund a conference bringing together national and international researchers to examine how learning transfers from video game play

How much: $25,000

Who got it: Benjamin Dunning, Ph.D., assistant professor of theology, A&S

What for: Current research on theologies of sexual differentiation in ancient Christianity


Who gave it: University of Capetown Programme for Enhancement of Research Capacity African Research Project on Knowledge Production Award

How much: $20,000

Who got it: Jeanne Flavin, Ph.D., assistant professor of sociology and anthropology, A&S

What for: To support the project “Women’s Pathways to Crime: Developing a Critical South African Criminology,” a study of incarcerated women in two centers in the Western Cape of South Africa
