National Security Adviser Delivers
Class of 2012’s Last Lesson

“Honesty, integrity, and fairness”—these are professional traits to cultivate throughout one’s life in good times and bad, said John Brennan, FCRH ’77, one of President Obama’s principal national security advisers, in an address to the Fordham University Class of 2012.

Inside Fordham Staff and Submission Deadlines

Did You Know?

Fordham is the home to the oldest seismic station in New York City. Operated by the Physics Department since 1910, the station began in the basement of the Administration Building. In 1923, the University constructed a dedicated new seismic observatory, donated by William Spain. That original building was moved twice, and, since 1931 has sat at its present site east of Freeman Hall.

Stop, Look, and Listen: Carefully Assessing Fordham’s Web Needs

Stopping. Looking. Listening. Universities don’t often have time to do this.

We find ourselves planning next year’s commencement before this year’s orientation is over, or next semester’s reading list before the start of the current one. Long-term and in-depth planning often take a backseat to immediate concerns, the symposium next week, or the report due tomorrow.
