The Strategic Program Office has various responsibilities in the areas of strategic planning, enterprise project planning, policy, reporting of IT performance and project-related metrics and communications. Specifics include:
Enterprise Project Management
- Oversees all aspects of IT project management
- Manages and controls a centralized portfolio of IT projects
- Synchronizes IT department plans with overall division plans and division plans with overall University goals and objectives
- Conducts project portfolio modeling and analysis
- Promotes project management as a core competency

Integrated IT Strategy & Planning
- Coordinates the IT disciplinary and departmental efforts
- Establishes and maintains a centralized framework for IT project governance
- Establishes strategic project management policies and guidelines
- Defines, implements, communicates and standardizes IT performance and project-based metrics
- Develops, analyzes, evaluates, coordinates, maintains and distributes IT policies, procedures, proposals and technical communication
IT Communications
- Provides communication for all major IT projects, outages, informational and emergency notifications
- Creates processes and procedures to improve IT communications via multiple channels
- Communicates University technology initiatives to the Higher Education community and its partners
- Develops and coordinates periodic, quarterly and annual reports to the Board of Trustees and University Executive Management
- Maintains the content, organization and look & feel of the Fordham IT and Confirmare websites
- Designs, writes, and edits technical documents and other media
