Confirmare
Confirmare has drawn to a close. All major University administrative systems have been replaced with one strategic integrated system – Banner. The Steering Committee has been decommissioned and all members congratulated on their exemplary service. It was a long haul, but the University as a whole should be applauded on a job well done!
As there continues to be a need for structured collaboration, the Enterprise Resource Planning Operational Management Group (ERPOMG,) succeeds the Confirmare Steering Committee, continuing to address critical interdepartmental and University wide day to day matters. On a more strategic level, the Vice President has charged the new Technology Leadership Council (TLC) with providing advice and assistance with IT strategy and priorities.
Both the ERP Operational Group and TLC have been built upon the observed strengths of the Steering Committee. These included maintaining cross functional awareness and sensitivity, remaining aware of different populations (e.g. graduate and professional schools) and having strong academic and faculty participation.
The TLC will coordinate improved integration of academic and business planning by developing, maintaining, and prioritizing requests for technology services in support of the University’s strategic mission.
Specifically, it will:
- Review and, if appropriate, recommend adjustments in the priorities for information technology initiatives in accordance with the University’s strategic goals
- Balance competing interests in the combination and allocation of existing financial and technical resources to priority initiative
- Identify cross functional issues arising from the implementation of priority initiatives and refer such issues to the VP/CIO
