Welcome to Confirmare
Fordham’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, which has been named Confirmare [Latin, meaning to strengthen or firm], will replace the university’s administrative applications with one strategic integrated system. SunGard Higher Ed's Banner is the software which will replace our Student Information System, Human Resources System, Financial Records System and Viking.

The scope of this Enterprise Application Integration process includes more than just Banner. This is a multi-year project consisting of the following high-level activities:
1 The Banner implementation as stated,
2 The implementation of an Oracle relational database as the University's standard for data management,
3 The building and implementation of Luminis, a University portal which will serve as a gateway to all electronic functions necessary for students, faculty and staff to perform their respective duties in terms of learning, teaching, research, and administration,
4 The building and implementation of Customer Relations Management, and
5 The implementation of Business Intelligence for executive and high-level dashboards, ad hoc reporting, data mining, and enterprise data warehouse, etc. |

For Administration
To build a fully integrated, sustainable information system for University administration based upon effectiveness, efficiency and service to the business user.
For the University community
To build a single, personal, web-based point of entry and community for all members of the University to access Fordham's information resources.
Specific Confirmare objectives include:
• Increased number of activities that students, faculty and staff can perform in a self-service manner;
• Increased number of administrative tasks that students, faculty and staff can accomplish via the web;
• Improved process workflows;
• Faster access to and analysis of information for decision support;
• Improved reporting and analytic capabilities;
• Greater accountability;
• Greater flexibility to pursue and accommodate future systems and services;
• High integration of administrative functions;
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and system access |
