Business Intelligence, or BI, is an umbrella term that refers to a variety of software applications used to analyze an organization's raw data, transforming it into valuable information useful to extend the knowledge of the organization with regards to its own strategies, trends, business activities, thereby supporting the decision making processes.

♦   What software does Fordham University use to achieve BI?
The BI department uses Information Builders WebFOCUS to create reports for our business partners.

♦   What changes are coming to Fordham with respect to BI?
We are working on design and development of a unified data repository that can serve as the information hub for the entire university. This is not an easy task and we look forward to Business Partner feedback, participation and support.
