Phone Instructions

Calling cards are required to make outgoing local and long distance calls from the residence halls. A toll free number will be provided by the calling card vendor.  All other services provided to traditional “land-line” in-room phones will be unaffected.  The following services are available:
  • Incoming calling
  • 4-digit intracampus calling / 5-digit intercampus calling
  • Toll free calling
  • Standard voicemail
  • 911 calling (9+911)
Calling cards are available at the Barnes & Noble on-campus bookstores.  Although these locations are recommended, students can use calling cards from any vendor (accessible by toll free number).

Intercampus Dialing Plan

The University has implemented an intercampus dialing plan to position the telephone system for future growth.  The new dialing plan uses a single number as a “steering digit” to allow users to make 4-digit intercampus calls.

The following guide details the dialing plan:

From the Rose Hill Campus:
  • To call the Rose Hill Campus dial just the 4-digit extension
  • To call the Lincoln Center Campus dial 8 then the 4-digit extension
  • To call the Westchester Campus dial 7 then the 4-digit extension
From the Lincoln Center Campus:
  • To call the Lincoln Center Campus dial just the 4-digit extension
  • To call the Rose Hill Campus dial 1 then the 4-digit extension
  • To call the Westchestern Campus dial 2 then the 4-digit extension
From the Westchester Campus:
  • To call the Westchester Campus dial just the 4-digit extension
  • To call the Rose Hill Campus dial 1 then the 4-digit extension
  • To call the Lincoln Center Campus dial 2 then the 4-digit extension
