Alan Cafferkey
|
|
Alan Cafferkey, a longtime member of the Fordham community, has been named Director of Faculty Technology Services (FTS). Alan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English (2002) as well as a Masters of Arts in English Literature (2006) from Fordham University. Before accepting this position, he served as the Tech Specialist and Liaison to the Gabelli School of Business from 2002-2007.
Then, from 2007 until this past February, he served as an Assistant Dean at the Gabelli School of Business, where he advised students, chaired the Academic Integrity Committee, and co-created the Integrated Learning Community for Global Business. Alan also taught Composition as an adjunct faculty member. |

Omar Cheikh
|
|
Omar Cheikh, a member of Fordham IT since 2008, has been named Senior Team Lead in IT Customer Care. Omar was a Custom Computer Specialist contractor when he joined Fordham in 2008 as a short-term Back-To-School Analyst and later was named Team Lead, IT Customer Care.
In these positions, Omar quickly built a reputation for having a strong work ethic and for building relationships with groups within IT and outside of IT. Included in Omar’s new responsibilities are the implementing and fine-tuning of IT Customer Care Tier 2 and Escalation Avoidance teams. |

Denis Cobos
|
|
Denis Cobos, who is currently pursuing an MBA from Fordham’s Graduate School of Business, has just joined Fordham as a Senior Network Engineer. He previously earned a Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Communication and Data Networks from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2003 and a post graduate degree in Telecommunications, Security and Information Technology from the Instituto Universitario de Seguros in 2006.
Between earning his post graduate degree and enrolling at Fordham, he served as a Post-Sale Telecommunications Engineer with Telefonica-Venezuela. Prior to that, Denis held engineering roles with Siemens-Venezuela and CANTV (a Verizon-based company).

Calvin Graham
|
|
Calvin Graham, a Risk Analyst consultant with Fordham since 2011, was just added as a fulltime IT Risk Analyst. As a consultant, Calvin assisted the business community in developing Business Continuity Plans for their departments. He also participated in the design and implementation of security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
He came to Fordham with more than 20 years of IT expertise in the technology, publishing, and pharmaceutical industries. He previously held such roles with Sungard Availability Services, Intralinks, Hearst Distribution Group and Sterling Winthrop. Calvin completed his Executive Development Training at Columbia University.

Patrick Guerrier
|
|
Patrick Guerrier recently joined the Fordham IT family as a Senior Unix Engineer. He joins us from BGC Partners/Cantor Fitzgerald, where he served as a Senior Unix Administrator. In that role, he was responsible for configuring High Availability RedHat and Solaris. He has more than 15 years of experience as an Information Technology Professional, mostly with the Financial Services Industry.
He previously held Analyst or Administrator roles with Citgroup, UBS, Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney andHerzog Heine and Geduld. Patrick earned a degree in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College.

Alcky Guzman
|
|
Alcky Guzman recently joined Fordham as an Enterprise Program Manager. He comes to the university with more than 25 years of Project Management experience, and spent the last eight of those as a Senior Project Manager with Emerging Health Information Technology. His previous industry experience includes Project Management roles with Computer Sciences’ Corporation, Itochu Technology, Montefiore Medical Center, Liberty Brokerage and Spartan Electronics.
He is a certified Project Management Professional and also completed advanced Router and Configuration coursework at Nortel Networks. In a previous life, Alcky was a Space Systems Equipment Maintenance Specialist for the United States Air Force.

Robert Person
|
|
Robert Person, an IT Consultant with Fordham since 2011, has been appointed to the position of Web Developer andData Integration Expert. Robert, a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art & Design, has an extensive background in programming data-driven websites. He worked for several major web development firms duringthe dot com boom and then went on to head his own successful consulting business.
With Fordham, he has been an integral part of several high profile projects, including the My.Mobile portal project, the m.Fordham mobile website and the soon to come RamVan reservation application.
