Network Outage @ RH & LC  Thursday, May 22nd

Thursday, May 22nd. Starting at 5:30 AM and ending no later than 7:00 AM - there will be no network access at both the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses. . This includes 888 Seventh Ave and 33 West 60th St; VoIP phones are not affected.helpdesk@fordham.edu
This is a broadcast message to the University community regarding an emergency wireless network outage scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2008 starting at 5:30 AM and ending no later than 8:00 AM.

Martyr's Court will have no power

The entire Rose Hill campus will have no Cable TV

The following buildings and residence halls will have no data communications:

The University Church, Collins, Loyola, Faber, Alumni Court North andSouth, Martyr's Court, and Queen's Court.


Emergency Wireless Outage at Rose Hill Thursday, May 1st

To improve the reliability and sustainability of wireless services, Fordham IT is upgrading network equipment. 

During the
normalized maintenance period - Thursday, May 1st from 5:30 AM thru 8:00 AM - there will be no wireless network access on the Rose Hill campus.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

RH Residence Halls - Network Outage, April 25th from 5:30 AM thru 7:00 AM

To improve the reliability and sustainability of network services, Fordham IT is upgrading network equipment. During this maintenance period - Friday, April 24th from 5:30 AM thru 7:00 AM - there will be no network access in the Rose Hill residence halls.


25 April 5:30 AM - 8:30 AM
No Internet access for Rose Hill Dorms & Fordham Libraries during this time.


24 April 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Student email services [Mirapoint] will be unavailable during this time. 
 
17 April 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Internet services may be interrupted during this time. 

10 April 
6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Internet services may be interrupted during this time. 
7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Blackberry, Sametime, and Web for Faculty services may be unavailable during this time.
 
03 April 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Blackberry devices will not receive mail during this time.

Interruption of Technology Services

In order to complete renovations of the Lincoln Center Data Center, therewill be an interruption of services as described below.

Thursday, February 28th, 2008:

04:00 AM - 08:30 AM: Data Services effected are all Data & Telephone (4-Digit Dialing) Communications at the LC Campus location, Quinn Library, 888 7th AvenueOffices (Data &Voice), 33 W. 60th Street Offices(Data & Voice), 1790 Broadway Facility (Data & Voice), Law School and all floors of the Leon Lowenstein Building.

Friday, February 29th, 2008:

12:00 Midnight - 8:00 AM: Data Services effected are Wireless throughout the Lincoln Center Campus, Dormitory Network at Lincoln Center Campus, Data and Telephone Communications between the RH & LC Campus Locations (4-Digit Dialing), Internet Access at Lincoln Center Campus, Quinn Library and VPN.

Service will be restored insequence, thus some service will be re-established sooner than others. However, all services will be restored to the best of our ability by 8:00 AM on Friday, February 29th.


28 February 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Luminis Production [portal.fordham.edu] will be unavailable during this time. 

27 February 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Document Imaging System will be unavailable during this time. 

21 February  6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
CISCO Clean Access may be unavailable during this time. 
Due to a system reboot, IDM, Recruitment Plus, Blog and Wiki services may be unavailable during this time. 
 
19 February  5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
ESM-NAS 13 shares will be unavailable during this time.  GSAS will be affected.

15 February  6:30 AM - 9:00 AM
VPN.FORDHAM.EDU will not be available during this time.

14 February  7:00 AM - 8:30 AM
No Internet access for ADN building during this time.

No Internet access for Marymount & Calder Center during this time.

VPN.FORDHAM.EDU will be unavailable during this time.


January 2008

25 January
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

ESM-NAS 13 shares will be unavailable during this time.  GSAS will be affected.

Service Outages for Sat/Sun - January 5-6, 2008 Due to ongoing renovations of the Lincoln Center Data Center, there will be an interruption of services as described below. 

SATURDAY, January 5th, 2008:

08:00 AM - 05:00 PM: No access to Banner, the Luminis Portal and Identity Management services.
08:00 AM - 01:00 PM: No access to Student e-mail services.

 SUNDAY, January 6th, 2008:

08:00 AM - 11:00 AM: No data services, no network access and no Internet services.
01:00 PM - 03:00 PM: No Blackberry services.
01:00 PM - 05:00 PM: No access to WAVES, FTP.Fordham.edu and Faculty.Fordham.edu.
02:00 PM - 06:00 PM: No access to VPN.

All services will be restored by 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 6th.

Telephone Outage @ RH - December 27th

In an effort to improve reliability of the Telephone System at the Rose Hill campus, Fordham IT has scheduled maintenance for Thursday, December 27th, beginning at 8:00 AM and ending no later than 1:00 PM.

There will be no outgoing or incoming calls, and no voice mail service for the Rose Hill campus during this time period. Service to the Security Office will NOT be affected and will be available by dialing the 10 digit number 718-817-2222.  The campus blue security phones will also NOT be affected during the outage.

Network/Phone Outage @ LC - December 22nd

Due to ongoing renovations of the Lincoln Center Data Center, there will be an interruption of services on Saturday, December 22nd beginning at 8:00 AM and ending no later than 10:00 AM.

This event will interrupt the following services:

- 4 digit dialing, and Internet services for 888 Seventh Ave and 33 West 60th Street

- 4 digit dialing between RH and LC

- all long distance calls from Lincoln Center

Internet access for Rose Hill and Lincoln Center should not be affected.

In an effort to improve reliability with the Rose Hill wireless network and Cisco Clean Access, Fordham IT has scheduled emergency maintenance for Thursday, December 6th, beginning at 6:00 AM and ending no later than 8:00 AM. There will be no Wireless network access at the Rose Hill campus during this time period.
