Preventative Maintenance [PM] - Every Thursday and Friday morning 5:00 AM- 8:30 AM

Preventative Maintenance includes a variety of tasks necessary to keep information & technology
services running, including but not limited to:

  • software patches, fixes and upgrades
  • hardware installs and upgrades [e.g., an additional server for redundancy so that e-mail remains up if a server goes down]
  • quality assurance testing









Scheduled Maintenance / Outage

 
 
Wireless and Internet Planned Outages: Evening Work Scheduled
In order to upgrade the wireless and internet infrastructure, Fordham IT has worked with University partners to reschedule the following planned maintenance to allow for better service to the community:
 
- Friday, May 25, 6pm – 10pm – Rose Hill campus – wireless network will NOT be available.
- Tuesday, May 29, 10pm – 1am – Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses – internet service will NOT be available in the on-campus offices for faculty and administration. 
- Friday, June 1, 8pm – 12am – Lincoln Center campus – wireless network will NOT be available.

VPN Scheduled Upgrade: Thursday, May 24, 6am - 8am
Due to a scheduled upgrade, the VPN will not be available on Thursday, May 24 from 6am to 8am. VPN is the University's Virtual Private Network, which allows users to access Fordham's network remotely.
