Fordham University VPN

For additional information, please see the VPN Frequently Asked Questions.

The Fordham Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a tool that allows users to access specific network resources while off campus or on the public wireless network (FORDHAMRH & FORDHAMLC). The VPN provides a secure connection to Fordham’s network. Once the connection is established, your computer is considered a member of the Fordham campus network.  You can then run your applications as you normally would, as securely as if you were on campus.

Applications currently available via the VPN are email using the Lotus Notes Desktop Client, Library resources requiring Fordham affiliation and certain Administrative Systems - SIS, HRS, FRS.

For VPN service, you will be required to authenticate yourself by using your (web) e-mail user name and password to sign in. The VPN is designed for use with a high speed (broadband) Internet connection.

Please note that any required maintenance of the VPN application and servers will be performed on Tuesdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  If service is required there may be intermittent outages during these times.  This day and these times were selected to minimize the impact on service availability.

Connecting to the VPN

Please select the platform on which you would like to connect to the VPN and follow the instructions listed to begin using the VPN application.

Additional software is required to access the Lotus Notes desktop client and administrative software applications. Please see the following topics for further instruction:
