Current Initiatives
University "One-Card" Program
Every member of the Fordham University community – students, staff, faculty, alumni, and guests– will possess a multi-year ID card that provides physical access to the campus and to a wide range of services on and off campus. The card is fully integrated with – and an extension of our Enterprise systems. The integrated card will move us closer to achieving ubiquitous information technology services, significantly enhancing the quality of community members' experience with IT -- academic, social, and administrative.
To Date we have:
- Created a new robust, integrated technology platform to support the continued evolution of the Fordham University Card
- Provided an enhanced card experience for the student
- Expanded features and functionality to meet the changing needs of the University community - students, staff, faculty and alumni
The program started with the replacement of the current aging (and departmental) card technology infrastructure and is now reaching out to functional areas – food services, card services and library printing. Over the next 24 months the program will focus on enhanced campus physical security; and expanded services and functions for the University community.
