Thinking of what you are going to do with your liberal arts degree?
Do you love sharing your knowledge and intellectual passion with others?
Do you love helping people reach their full potential?
Have you considered graduate study in Education?
Education is a comprehensive field that includes teaching, counseling, mental health, and psychology. Guidance on whether graduate study is right for you, getting into graduate school, and programs in graduate education are available through our career services office to help you decide on your future goals. Set up a session with an education career counselor through CareerLink
Faculty
Since graduate students are often busy with family, career, and field work, the classroom is one of the only places where they have time to gather as a group and be reached by career services. Faculty are encouraged and welcome to invite a career counselor into the classroom for presentations on topics, specialized to teachers, counselors, and other education professionals, including, but not limited to the following:
Resume writing
Interviewing
Networking and navigating the job market
Preparing a demo lesson
If there is a particular topic you would like covered, please let us know, and we can prepare it for you.
To schedule a workshop, please email aferreira3@fordham.edu
Employers
Employers may post positions through CareerLink, our online job and internship board.
Information sessions are an excellent way to meet interested students in person and tell them about your school or organization. Sessions are usually held on a Wednesday from 3:30-4:30.
To schedule a session, contact Abigail Ferreira at aferreira3@fordham.edu
