Career Profile Guide
Dear Student:
Greetings from the staff at Career Services! Our mission is to empower you to become successful in both your personal and professional development. We offer a comprehensive array of services and programs to assist you with developing a career plan that will enable you to discover occupational wellness. Occupational wellness is measured by the personal satisfaction gained from a career and the degree to which one is enriched by that work. The occupational well individual contributes his/her unique gifts, skills and talents to a career that is personally meaningful and rewarding. You’ll know you are on the path to occupational wellness when your work is exciting and fulfilling. Your career choice, career ambitions, job satisfaction and performance are important components that impact your level of occupational wellness.
The Career Profile Guide is a reference and resource tool written by our staff especially for you. It outlines our services and programs, as well as offers strategies to assist you in becoming successful in your individualized career development plan. We encourage you to read this section as it contains helpful information on values and skills clarification, resume and cover letter development, interviewing tips, professional employment correspondence, job search strategies, internships, career technology resources, graduate and professional school processes, and much more!
We welcome you to visit our offices at the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses on a regular basis to get to know our staff and to learn about various events and special programs. Please view our calendar, or email us at careerplan@fordham.edu.
On behalf of our staff, we are very excited to meet you and assist you with obtaining occupational wellness and success!
Best Regards,
