Individual Career Counseling
Students are welcome to make an appointment with one of our Career Services Staff members for resume & cover letter review, mock interview, job & internship search, and career counseling.
Self Assessment
Self Assessment is the first step to career success! Understanding and evaluating yourself can help you in the career decision-making process. Speak with one of our Career Services Staff about making an appointment for career assessment at your convenient campus location.
Credential Files (Letters of Reference)
Fordham University offers credential file services through Interfolio, Inc. Interfolio is an online credentials management service that is available to Fordham University students and alumni. Interfolio is the cheapest and easiest way to send academic credentials to a search committee, an undergraduate to send application materials to graduate and professional schools, or a teacher to apply for a teaching position.
Interfolio’s Internet service allows people to build an Internet portfolio- a complete file of credentials- where a life’s work may be stored:
- Confidential letters of recommendation
- Curriculum Vitae/Resume
- Writing samples
- Dissertation abstract
- Supervising teacher evaluation
- Student and peer evaluations
- Transcripts- for any number of degrees
- Anything else needed to complete a search
Interfolio portfolios are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from anywhere in the world. Completing job or school applications takes minutes instead of days and cost less than a trip to a copy store and post office. Visit Interfolio for more information.
Workshops & Orientations
Employer Presentations
Students can gain first-hand information from employer regarding various career & internship opportunties. Students planning to attend employer presentations should also inquire about our On-Campus Recruting Program.
Lincoln Center Career Symposium
The Lincoln Center Career Symposium offers of series of career workshops that will allow students to hone professional development skills. These career workshops can include employer & alumni panels, speakers, and skills building workshops offered by our Career Services Staff.
Mock Interview Day
Interview with some of the top employers in the for-profit and non-profit industries, and gain valuable feedback on your interviewing skills. Learn the “Do’s and Don’ts” and how to leave a strong impression with employers.
On-Campus Recruting Orientations
This program gives students the chance to interview with employers on-campus, for internship and full-time employment opportunities. Both Liberal Arts and Business majors are strongly encouraged to participate in the program during the fall and spring semester. You must attend an on-campus recruiting orientation to participate. Resume Boot Camp
This workshop event is offered every fall and spring semester. Students are able to get their resumes critiqued by employers and our Career Services staff in under 15 minutes.
Wall Street Services Workshop
Receive advice and tips on how to interview with Wall Street-based companies, as well as how to enhance your professional image.
