Internship Program

What Is An Internship?

An internship can be described as a peak into the dynamics of a company or field you may one day pursue upon graduation. It is a part-time learning experience (experimental education) which should be meaningful, and well supervised; benefitting both the student and employer.  How you fit into this dynamic and what you learn from it is totally up to you.

Why Perform An Internship?

An internship is an excellent way to develop contacts, references, recommendations for graduate / professional schools, and future jobs.  Students gain practical experience in their chosen field of interest (including learning what they do not like) along with being socialized into the world of work.  More and more employers are looking for internship experience on resumes to show that the individual has gone out of their comfort zone of the classroom, to actively seek out and gain related work experience.  Many recruiters use their internship programs to recruit top candidates for potential full-time job offers after graduation.
