Fordham Career Ambassadors
The Fordham Career Ambassadors serve as a bridge between Fordham Career Services and the undergraduate University student body. FCAs are dedicated to connecting Fordham students with Career Services, the Office of Experiential Education, Fordham alumni, and potential employers. Fordham Career Ambassadors combine their personal experience as students with professional training in career advising to assist fellow Fordham students navigate the professional development process.
Fordham Career Ambassador Services:
The FCA program is a leadership program that utilizes and develops each ambassador’s individual skills and interests. At the core of the program, Fordham Career Ambassadors will receive training and work with Career Services and the Office of Experiential Education professionals to provide the following services:
Introduce freshman and sophomore students to Career Services and the Career Development Program
Assist students with career exploration, assessment, and decision making
Advise students on their first resumes and cover letters; conduct mock interviews
Teach students how to utilize Fordham Career Link to find an internship or full-time job
Market Career Services events and services on campus and through social media Benefits of being a Fordham Career Ambassador:
Fordham Career Ambassadors will also have the opportunity to provide additional services based on individual skills and interests. Upperclassman FCAs will receive additional training to collaborate with Career Services the Office of Experiential Education professionals to create unique opportunities for Fordham students by providing the following services:
Develop specialized services such as workshops and educational materials specific to FCA area of study and career interest
Network with aspirant employers within the FCAs area of study and career interest to create new opportunities for Fordham students
Network with Fordham Alumni within the FCAs area of study and career interest to establish mentorship relationships and collaborate to provide specialized career services and workshops
