University life is full of academic, interpersonal, and emotional challenges. Sometimes the challenges can be too much and even make it hard to deal with daily life. It takes strength and wisdom to recognize when you need help. CPS provides a safe and confidential setting in which you can explore personal concerns, in order to achieve satisfying relationships, gain self-awareness, improve academic performance, set personal goals, and make effective and satisfying career and life choices.
Our mission is to assist students in maintaining their optimumlevel of mental health and wellness so that they are best able to achieve their goals. This approach to mental health care is in line with cura personalis: a holistic approach with a focus on the emotional, physical, academic, social and, at times, the spiritual growth of each student. We welcome and embrace human diversity in all its forms, including racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation and gender identity, ability/disability, language, age, spiritual belief, and socioeconomic status.
We offer free individual and group counseling and psychotherapy.
