Fare Information

On behalf of the Department of University Transportation, I would like to thank you for your continued use of our service. Thanks to the support of the Fordham community, the service we provide has continued to grow, and we have been able to serve the University in increasing and expansive ways.

I am regretfully writing to inform you of a necessary price increase of our fares. Due to the increasing cost of vehicle maintenance and the rising price of fuel, effective August 18th 2014, the Department of University Transportation will  be raising fares to $3.50 for a one-way ticket to travel between Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses. Accordingly, the price for a discount book of 12 tickets will be raised to $35.

We understand that costs are on the rise for everyone. Keeping costs low for all has been a priority for our office; we have been able to avoid a fare increase since the last time we raised fares in 2007 from $2.50 to $3.00.

As we do make a genuine effort to negate the impact of cost increases, the current price will remain in effect through August 15th, 2014. For those departments that order large quantities of tickets, this will allow budget administrators to use their budgeted funding to acquire tickets for travel at our current price. Beginning Monday August 18th, the new price will take effect.

Thank you for your understanding. Our office looks forward to another year of serving you, and the introduction of several new aspects of our service, including paperless boarding, increased online reservation capabilities, and e-ticketing. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.
