Dear Members of the Fordham Community,

On behalf of our entire team, thank you for your continued patronage and support for the past twenty-seven years. During that time, the Department of Intercampus Transportation has worked diligently to provide and maintain safe, reliable and courteous service to the entire Fordham community. In keeping with this goal, and in an effort to improve efficiency while narrowing drivers’ focus to the safe transportation of passengers, drivers will only accept prepaid tickets from passengers boarding the van (i.e., no cash), effective July 1, 2008.

In order to facilitate this change, we are installing high-volume ticket machines, which will accept cash, coins, credit cards and debit cards. These machines will be located in the lobby of Lowenstein at Lincoln Center and outside the Ram Van Office in the McGinley Center at Rose Hill, and will vend Discount Books, Round Trip tickets and individual tickets, as well as Airport Shuttle Service tickets.

To further expedite this change, the Department of Intercampus Transportation will extend to the entire Fordham community, an opportunity to purchase Discount Books at the ’06-’07 price of $25.00 per book, which translates into a savings of $11.00 per book. The discounted price will be in effect for one month only, from April 1, 2008 through April 30, 2008. This price will be available in the Ram Van Office, McGinley 241 only and is open to both individuals and departments via the same payment methods currently used.

Thank you for sharing our goal to continuously improve the quality of the services we provide, while making them as convenient as possible for all of our passengers. We believe this new system will satisfy the needs of our community and will further improve the quality of our service.

Sincerely,
