Policies and Procedures

• Ram Van service is available to any University member holding a valid Fordham ID card.
• Drivers do not accept cash on the vans.  Passengers can purchase tickets from the Ram Van Office at Rose Hill or from ticket machines at Lincoln Center, for further information please visit our Fares & Free Pass Information Page.
• After 10 pm, the Security Shuttle offers transportation to the subway stop and off-campus housing, for more information on the Security Shuttle please visit the Off-Campus Security Shuttle Page.
• Because seating is limited, passengers are encouraged to sign up in advance for their trip in the office at Rose Hill, the security desk at Lincoln Center, or the Security booth at Fordham Westchester. Faculty members and administrators may sign up at any time for that day in person or via telephone.
• Passengers are asked to arrive five minutes before scheduled departure to ensure the van leaves on time. Additionally, passengers are asked to board only in front of the McGinley Center. Not only is waiting for/boarding the van at the security circle at Rose Hill discourteous to other passengers, you are not guaranteed a seat on the van as it might be full.
• Ram Vans do not operate when the University is closed during Christmas and Easter Breaks.
• If the service is suspended due to inclement weather, attempts will be made to provide shuttle service between Rose Hill and the D Train subway station. If you suspect that Ram Van may not be running please call 718-817-INFO.
• No packages, envelopes, or letters will be delivered by Ram Van drivers.
• Younger passengers are asked to move to the rear of the van in order to allow older passengers to load and unload the van easier.
• Eating, drinking, and smoking is prohibited on Ram Vans.
• Drivers have the discretion to not allow any passenger they deem unruly or a safety hazard onto the van. Unruly passengers will be reported to the Dean of Student Life and Security.
