At the beginning of each Fall Semester (and at the beginning of other semesters for first time new incoming students) all students are REQUIRED to complete an on-line Insurance Registration Process
During this secure process, you will be asked to either provide information on your current medical insurance coverage, purchase the Fordham sponsored Student Insurance Plan, or complete a brief opinion survey.
Having adequate health insurance is highly recommended, but is not a requirement at Fordham University for domestic students in order to attend classes. The deadline to complete the Insurance Registration Process is October 12, 2012 for the Fall Semester and February 22, 2013 for Spring Semester.
In addition to completing the Insurance Registration requirement, the Communications Center & Marketplace is a place that you can return time and again to obtain important insurance information (including procedures to file an accident claim), ask questions, or link to Provider & Pharmacy Networks. You can also discover other voluntary insurance and discount products like, dental, vision, personal property, international travel coverage, and services to negotiate outstanding medical bill balances (out of pocket costs) that may remain after being processed by insurance.
