
In concurrence with our international outlook, Fordham University’s Schools of Business Administration are home to diverse and international faculty. With over half of the faculty having worked or lived abroad, the global knowledge that these professors are able to impart is truly genuine. In addition to extensive experience living in working abroad, a majority of the faculty is also proficient in more than one language. A few are highlighted below:
| Michael Chattalas, Ph.D. |

Professor Michael Chattalas joined Fordham in the Fall 2005 after receiving his Ph.D. in Marketing at Baruch College, City University of New York. Previously, he taught at Baruch College and Wagner College and in 2004-05 taught four Executive Master’s courses in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. |
| In recognition of his outstanding teaching, Dr. Chattalas received teaching excellence awards from both Baruch College and Wagner College. His academic interests include cross-cultural consumer research in the areas of product evaluation, advertising and national stereotypes. Professor Chattalas is an American of Greek descent and was raised in Athens, Greece. An avid international traveler, he also collects plane models of various airlines. |
| Li Gu, Ph.D. |

Li Gu is a new assistant professor of Finance. She hails from China where she received an undergraduate degree from Xidian University and worked in the communication industry in Beijing. Later, she received a master's degree from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Finance from Columbia University , before coming to Fordham. |
| At CBA, Professor Gu teaches Financial Management. Her non-academic passions include running and Italian food - a good combination. |
| Yabing Jiang, Ph.D. |

Professor Yabing Jiang joined Fordham in Fall 2005 after receiving her Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems at Simon Business School, University of Rochester. Her research focuses on information economics, and she is especially interested in studying e-commerce phenomena and pricing information goods. At CBA, professor Jiang teaches Information Systems. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and gardening, and she is a big fan of the Iron Chef show. |
| Sarah J. Wu, Ph.D. |

Professor Sarah J. Wu joined Fordham in Fall 2006 from Michigan State University. Her primary academic research focuses on Operations Strategy, Reverse/Closed-loop Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Risk Management. |
| She is currently teaching Production and Operations Management at CBA this term. Professor Wu has wide interests in reading, traveling, skating, dancing, and playing tennis. She is a great player of badminton and ping-pong. She has not tried skiing before, and she is looking forward to her first experience in upstate New York |
| Meng Yan, Ph. D. |

Professor Meng Yan received her PhD in Accounting at Boston University in 2005. Prior to joining Fordham, she worked in the international book trading business in Beijing and taught at the University of New Hampshire. |
| Professor Yan's research interests include earnings management, market pricing of accounting information, and auditor independence. Originally from China, she enjoys playing tennis and poker games. Her most recent hobby is to play Peek-A-Boo with 6-month old daughter Nicole. |
