International Service Projects

Open to all Fordham University students, The Global Outreach Program travels throughout the year to assist international organizations improve the lives of those less fortunate. The program allows students to examine the harsh realities that are occur in countries outside of our own, and examine how these situations affect lives and relationships in our own country. Not only are issues of social justice and cultural immersion explored, but students are able to help those in need and truly see a difference.

CBA Students who are interested in service should also look into the CBA Service Learning Program. Recently, students from the program, led by Professor Katherine Combelleck, traveled to Nairobi to spend a day at the Kenyan Women’s Finance Trust, then traveled to the Jewelers in Nairobi, and then spent a few days at the soap stone village in Nyabigena outside Kisii. The business students assisted in the fair trade assessments, set up book keeping systems, and connect artisans with markets in the US.
