-
The Academic Component
Includes honors sections of both liberal arts core and business core courses with emphasis on critical reading, writing, quantitative skills, ethical decision making, and presentation skills. In junior and senior year students will conduct original research with a business faculty member, with the hope of presenting their research paper at academic conferences in the spring of senior year. The program is tailored to individual students needs so that a student can choose any business discipline and be part of the Global Business Honors Program.
-
The Experiential Component
Involves visits to New York City business landmarks, international site visits, on campus guest speakers, conference attendance, and internships. Throughout each semester of every year a variety of events including visits to the NYSE, The United Nations, and Fortune 500 Companies. Additionally there will be a capstone to each academic year, for example the first year will conclude with a study tour to London. The experiential component is carefully planned to capitalize on the academic component of the program and our New York City location.
-
The Personal Development and Relationship Building Component
Emphasizes the importance of “soft skills,” such as interviewing, etiquette, presentation ability and networking. Professional development seminars designed specifically for each year will be offered each semester. The seminars will be reinforced through the students’ one on one relationship with a business leader mentor and a faculty research partner.
