About Fr. Boyle

Father William Emmet Boyle was a true leader at Fordham and particularly as dean of CBA, where he helped many of Fordham's best students to realize their potential. For his dedication to our University, as well as for those who benefitted from his wisdom, hard work, and commitment, this society proudly bears his name.

Father Boyle was born on October 20, 1914; entered the Society of Jesus on July 30, 1932; was ordained on June 17, 1945; and died May 15, 2000. The Boyle Society, which had its beginnings in the summer of 1999, was officially founded early in the spring of 2000.
