The College of Business Administration has identified the following internal CBA scholarships and external business education scholarships. Each scholarship has specific eligibility criteria. Please carefully review the criteria before applying for each scholarship.
In addition to the scholarships listed here, students are advised to refer to the Office of Student Financial Services for other scholarship resources, including listings of other general Fordham restricted scholarships and links to scholarship search engines.
College of Business Administration Scholarships
The following is a list of scholarships and awards allocated to students of the College of Business Administration. Scholarship application materials are also available in the Dean’s Office, (Faber Hall, Room 358).
Most scholarships are need-based and require a FAFSA application, which should be on file with the Office of Student Financial Services in Thebaud Hall, Rose Hill.

The Nicholas W. Brandemarti Memorial Scholarship
The Nicholas W. Brandemarti Memorial Scholarship provides financial support to a student who meets the following criteria: enrolled on a part-time or full-time basis, student athlete, minimum 3.0 GPA, and demonstrated financial need with preference given to any student whose family is experiencing hardship due to the World Trade Center attack. The James J. and Mary Ann Dowdall Endowed Scholarship
The James J. and Mary Ann Dowdall Endowed Scholarship provides financial support to students who fit the following criteria: resident of one of New York City’s five boroughs, commuter student, enrolled full-time, demonstrated financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA. The William G. McGowan Scholarship
Named after the Founder and Chairman of MCI Communications, The William G. McGowan Scholars Program recognizes academic achievement, rewards excellence in character and encourages significant involvement in academic and community activities. The scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria: junior or senior, full-time enrollment, minimum 3.0 GPA, leadership qualities, community involvement. Award Amount: $18,000. William G. The Tognino Family Endowed Scholarship
The Tognino Family Endowed Scholarship provides scholarship awards to non-traditional students who preferably meet the following criteria: CBA evening student, employed during the day, demonstrated financial need and minimum 3.0 GPA. The UNOVA Scholarship provides financial support to students according to the following criteria: junior or senior, enrolled full-time, any major in business, academic merit and financial need. Scholarship for Minority Accounting Students - The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
This scholarship program provides awards to outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. Please refer to the scholarship’s website for more details and application procedure.
The National Hispanic Business Group (NHBG) Scholarship
The NHBG Scholarship provides financial assistance to Hispanic-Latino students who are enrolled in a college or university and are majoring in business or a business related degree. The AICPA/Accountemps Student Scholarship program provides financial assistance to students who are currently majoring in accounting, finance, or information systems. Becker CPA Review Scholarship
The American Woman’s Society of CPAs offers a national scholarship to individuals aspiring to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
