Carey, the William J. Kelly, S.J., Professor of Theology at Marquette University, will deliver his address as part of the Archdiocese of New York's Bicentennial Lecture Series.
He is the author and editor of 18 books and a number of essays and articles, most on American Catholic Life and Thought.
The event is co-sponsored by the Francis and Ann Curran Center for American Catholic Studies.
