By Subway - www.mta.info
Take the IND ‘D’ train to Fordham Road, or the IRT ‘4’ train to Fordham Road. Once out of the subway station follow Fordham Road east, down the hill toward the Fordham campus. You should be able to see the campus emerging on your left, at the corner of Webster Avenue. Continue walking beyond the campus entrance. Soon you will pass Theodore Roosevelt High School, White Castle and Pete’s Diner on your right, going past Bathgate, Lorillard, Hoffman, Arthur and Hughes Avenues. Belmont Avenue will be on the right hand side of the street, before the Fordham Road underpass. Ciszek Hall is in the first block of Belmont.

By Train - www.amtrak.com
Metro North (Harlem Line) stops right next to campus at the corner of Webster Avenue and Fordham Road. The stop is Fordham Road and leaves from Grand Central Station or 125th Street. Follow the subway directions above, beginning with Webster Avenue reference.

Amtrak stops at Penn Station NY. From there, take the ‘A’ or ‘C’ subway to 59th Street Columbus Circle and transfer to the ‘D’ train (same platform) and follow the ‘D’ subway directions above.

By Automobile (Please read)
FROM NEW ENGLAND AND THE NORTH/EAST: Take the Hutchinson River Parkway to the exit for Pelham Parkway West,or take I-95 south to the exit for Pelham Parkway West, or take the Bronx River Parkway to the exit for Fordham Road.

FROM NEW JERSEY AND THE SOUTH/WEST: Take I-80 or I-95/NJ Turnpike to the George Washington Bridge (GWB). Cross the GWB and take I-95 Cross-Bronx Expressway north. Take the Bronx River Parkway north to the exit for Fordham Road.

FROM MANHATTAN - WEST SIDE: Take the Henry Hudson Parkway (9A) to I-95 Cross-Bronx Expressway north. Take the Bronx River Parkway to the exit for Fordham Road.

FROM MANHATTAN - EAST SIDE: Take the FDR East River Drive to the Triboro Bridge. Follow the signs for the Bronx and the Bruckner Expressway I-278 north. Stay on the Bruckner and exit at the Bronx River Parkway north. Proceed to the Fordham Road exit.

FROM LONG ISLAND: Cross the Whitestone Bridge and take the Hutchinson River Parkway to the exit for Pelham Parkway west, or cross the Throgs Neck Bridge and take I-695 Throgs Neck Expressway to I-95 New England Thruway to the exit for Pelham Parkway.

FROM UPSTATE NY: Follow route 17 to the NYS Thruway, route 87, and follow the signs for the Tappan Zee Bridge. Once across the bridge follow signs to route 287, Rye/ White Plains. Take the Sprain Brook Parkway south to the Bronx River Parkway south. Exit the Bronx River Parkway at Fordham Road.

FROM PELHAM PARKWAY AND FORDHAM ROAD: Pelham Parkway turns into Fordham Road, which will pass between the New York Botanical Gardens (right) and the Bronx Zoo (left). At the end of the Gardens/Zoo, Fordham Road will fork. The main road slopes down to become an underpass. Take the marginal road, which will slope up to the city streets. Because of the underpass, you cannot make a left onto Belmont Avenue from Fordham Road, so make a safe and legal U-Turn into Hughes Avenue and head back in the opposing way and toward the underpass. Make the right into Belmont Avenue at this point. Ciszek Hall is 2502-06 Belmont Avenue, on the left of the first block.

Note: Parts of the Bronx highway system were built before the interstate highway system and only later included in it, so the names of Bronx highways are not thoroughly consistent with interstate numbers. Traveling from east to west, the Bruckner Expressway starts as I-95 but becomes I-278. Traveling from east to west, I-95 starts as the New England Thruway, turns into the Bruckner, and ends up as the Cross Bronx. Some thoroughfares in the Bronx change names along their routes for no apparent reason. Fordham Road and Pelham Parkway are the same thoroughfare. It is Fordham Road from its west end at the Harlem River to the Bronx River Parkway and Pelham Parkway from the Bronx River Parkway to its east end at the Hutchinson River. In New York State a parkway is distinct from a highway or expressway. If you take a vehicle larger that a passenger van onto a parkway you can be ticketed for a moving violation.
