What is spiritual
The main purpose of spiritual conversation
is to grow in prayer life, in intimacy and familiarity with God. In
spiritual conversation people talk about their
experiences of God, both in prayer and in the rest of their daily lives.
It is never easy to talk about what is most personal to us – who and how
we love, where we have struggled or been hurt in our lives, our deepest
hopes, fears and dreams, our relationship with God, but the results of
such conversations are tremendous.
Who can profit from spiritual conversation?
Anyone sincerely willing to share their spiritual experiences in confidence with another
believer. Spiritual conversation can be especially helpful for those
embarking on a life of prayer for the first time and for those
considering fundamental vocation questions.
