William P. Fisher, Jr. completed A.M. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Chicago, focusing on the history, philosophy, and mathematics of measurement theory and practice. He is captivated by the possibility of integrating the qualitative and quantitative aspects of mathematical thinking. The goal of his project is to tune the instruments of the human sciences to well-tempered scales, so as to enable the more harmonious, melodic, and rhythmic management of living human, social, and natural capital in a wide variety of culturally distinct ensembles.
