INSPECTOR JAILED IN BIGGEST POLICE CORRUPTION SCANDAL. Mr.
Justice McLaughlin sentenced police inspector, Derek John Robinson to two
years in prison after he admitted 17 charges including fraud, judicial system
interference, obtaining property by deception, forgery, failing to prosecute
a case properly, advising another constable to lie during a police
investigation, illegally using the RUC computer for personal information on
individuals, and clocking mileage on vehicles. He gained $312,000 from the car accident insurance fraud. He is thought to have psychiatric problems
